A tragic event has emerged from Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh, where a group of monkeys reportedly abducted a two-and-a-half-month-old infant from his sleeping area. The child was later found submerged in a water-filled drum, leading to his untimely death. This incident took place in Surajpur, where the child's family was preoccupied with daily activities and unaware of the unfolding tragedy.


After hours of searching for the missing child, family members discovered him floating in a drum on the roof of their home. The shocking revelation prompted immediate panic and sorrow, leading them to contact local authorities for assistance.


The family of the infant, identified as Anuj, resides in Surajpur village within the Machhrehta region of Sitapur. On the morning of the incident, the baby was peacefully sleeping in a cot while his mother attended to household tasks. Upon returning to the room, she was alarmed to find her child missing and quickly alerted other family members to begin the search.


Family Suspects Monkeys' Involvement

After an extensive search, the family checked a drum located on the roof and found the infant floating inside. Despite their efforts to rush him to a doctor, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Family members expressed their belief that monkeys, which frequently visit their home, may have taken the child and inadvertently caused his tragic fate.
